Click to view full-size. 1936 Dollar Sign #6 Monopoly Game Black Board/Box New Edition Parker Brothers was not very clear as to the #6 Game designation. Collectors commonly refer to #6 Games as Blue Box Games. But, based on Parker Brothers game inserts, the #6 also covers "Black Bound" boards which I have designated as the Dollar Sign ($) #6 Edition. The $ is the most prominent feature on these Black Box/Board Games and gives a clearer distinction between the two #6 games. Also, in Parker Brothers inserts from 1938 onward, the #6 games were also referred to as Junior Editions. The 1946 Dollar Sign #6 game is the only game that actually had the #6 printed on the Board and Game Box. The Black "New Edition" Dollar Sign #6 Editions have 2 different boards but the difference is a very subtle wording difference on the outer label of the board which has the words "A Parker Trading Game" in small letters at the top. Components are the same as the Brown Box version. |
